Biography

Mona Townes is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Addictions Specialist. For the past 10 years, she has served as the Mobile Crisis Director at Integrated Family Services, PLLC (IFS) where she oversees the provision of mobile crisis management services in 29 counties in Eastern NC. Mona is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and currently serves on the Board of Directors for NASW-NC.  She represents IFS in the National Association of Crisis Organization Directors (NACOD) and the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF). She also serves on the Pitt County Child Fatality Review Team as a Prevention Specialist. She is certified by the National Council on Behavioral Health as a facilitator for Youth and Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA). In 2015, she was recognized as a Rising Star Alumni through the School of Social Work program at East Carolina University (ECU). Most recently, she was a 2017 40 Under 40 Leadership Award Recipient through ECU Division of Student Affairs. Mona received her Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees from ECU.
