The 2010 Winter School will feature a new, self-directed, online registration process. Follow the link in our registration section to access the registration form. No printed catalogs will be available. Tracks meet from 6:45-8:45 p.m. on Sunday evening; 8 - 11:45a.m. and 1:15-5:00 p.m. on  Monday; and 8 – 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday & Wednesday. You will only attend one track and one mini-track during the school. All mini-tracks are scheduled on Tuesday afternoon, from 1:15 – 5:00 p.m. The registration system will inform you of the availability of your topic selections as you register. Early registration is encouraged. Use of our online registration process is encouraged to expedite your registration. Your confirmation email indicating topic assignments (based upon space availability at the time of registration) will be sent to you immediately after your pre-registration. All participants are expected to check in between 2:30-4:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2009, attend the opening session at 5:00 p.m., dinner at 6:00 p.m. and the start of your study track at 7:15 p.m. Housing will be available by 3 p.m. for resident participants.

You must make your own hotel arrangements separate from the school registration.  To get the special "rate of $63.75 + taxes" you must call the Village Inn directly:  (800)554-6416; or (336)766-9121.  The negotiated rate will not be available through the Village Inn on-line reservations.  NCFADS will not be processing any requests for housing.

SCHOOL REGISTRATION: First, follow the link on the next page  to complete the registration process and submit to NCFADS by 5 p.m., February 5, 2010, using the online registration form. You may view and print all topic descriptions either from this web site or from the registration link site. Second, all participants, regardless of category of enrollment, must validate the registration process at check-in between 2:30-4:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 21, 2010, at the Village Inn Golf & Conference Center, Clemmons, NC.

Early enrollment is suggested since space is limited and courses are assigned on a first-come,
first-served basis. (Online registration is preferred and  will expedite the process). For
multiple registrations, a registration form for each participant must be completed and
accompanied by payment and/or official authorizations. Photocopies of the registration form will be accepted. If you are registering for someone else, make certain all pertinent information is
forwarded to him or her.

To ensure accuracy of your registration:
*On the registration form, list in priority order, three track selections.
Tracks meet from 6:45-8:45 p.m. on Sunday evening; 8 - 11:45am and 1:15-5:00
p.m. on  Monday; and 8 – 11:45 am on Tuesday & Wednesday. You will only attend one track during the school.
All mini-tracks are scheduled on Tuesday afternoon, from 1:15 – 5:00 pm. Every attempt will be made to enroll you in your first choice; however, classes are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Early registration is encouraged. All School participants seeking credit must complete the check-in
process between 2:30-4:30
p.m. on Sunday, February 21, 2010, at the Village Inn Golf & Conference Center. All participants, whether residing at the Center or commuting, are required to pick up their own packets. Students (residents or commuters) who
arrive on Monday to complete the check-in and receive their packets will not receive credit for the school.

A $15 fee will be charged for changing credit type after the registration deadline, Friday,
February 5th. All resident students must pick up and turn in their own room keys
as part of the appropriate check-in/check-out procedures. Village Inn staff will be at the main desk to handle these procedures.



Since early registration is necessary to improve your chances of getting your top track choices,
the following suggestions are offered:

 

If you plan to stay at the Village Inn, you must call directly to the hotel to get the negotiated rate.  Identify yourself as a participant in the NCFADS Winter School.
 

At the earliest possible date after receiving the catalog or viewing this website, complete
the registration form. Online registration for all classes is preferred.

Do not assume that your registration form will be processed by your accounting office or
an administrative official before the deadline date.

To avoid delays, fax or submit your form online to the Foundation office with a short,
written approval statement from your supervisor while the agency is processing payment.

Review your completed registration form to assure the following:
All track and mini-track choices have been indicated
One cost option has been selected

One credit option has been selected (two additional credit options may be checked,
but will cost an extra $15 each)

All demographic information is clearly printed or typed

Each completed registration form must be accompanied by payment or an
authorization statement by an agency official or an approved scholarship authorization.

Participants seeking special accommodations due to a disability must contact the
registration office by January 20, 2010.
