We are looking for
training sessions that:

Fall
within a broad range of topics on alcohol and drug related issues; |

Are
aimed at professionals with no experience to those with much
experience; |

Are
geared to application; |
 |
Are
interactive; |
 |
Include
audio/ videotape/ or printed handouts. |
 |
Conform
to the school format: typically, a major study track is designed for
20 hours; a mini-track is designed for 6 hours. |

Learning
is experienced based. |

Introduce
participants' past experiences into the process and help them
reexamine them in a new light. |

Learning
is problem centered. |

Presentations
should be immediately relevant to help participants solve a current
problem. |

Winter School
Proposals must be postmarked by June 1st each year. Proposals submitted
after that date may not be considered until the following year planning
cycle. The NCFADS Board will meet in June to review your proposal. You
will be notified by June 30th.
Summer
School
Proposals must be postmarked by October 1st each year. Proposals submitted
after that date may not be considered until the following year planning
cycle. The NCFADS Board will meet in October to review your
proposal. You will be notified by October 31st.
If your proposal is
selected, camera-ready copies of all handouts for print must be submitted
at least 60 days prior to the appropriate school date.

NCFADS negotiates honorarium fees and travel
expenses on an individual basis. Serious inquiries should be directed to
