All full-time residents will be housed in the following university residence halls: Cornerstone; International; and Honors (see map). While these buildings feature common living areas and a kitchen and are quite comfortable and conducive to social and professional discussions, and relatively new, they are still university housing and not commercial hotels! Resident housing rooms are not equipped with TV’s or telephones. Make your plans accordingly. Each resident will have a private bedroom. For your comfort and convenience, beds are made before you arrive. Common living areas and baths will be cleaned on Wednesday by UNCW housing staff, but your individual room will not be cleaned. Bring your own coat hangers and various personal articles (clock/radio, TV,etc.). Each resident will be furnished a towel packet, which includes two (2) washcloths, two (2) hand towels and two (2) bath towels. When checking out, the entire towel packet must be left on your bed. Any missing linens must be accounted for before your school credit will be issued. Housing costs for staying on the UNCW campus are included in the full-time resident fee.
Special group rates have been negotiated with the Holiday Inn, Market Street. This facility offers excellent amenities and is convenient to the UNCW campus (5032 Market St.). Room rates are $65.90 plus tax per night but you must mention you are registering for the N.C. Alcohol & Drug School. Please call 910-392-1101 for hotel reservations. Reservations will not be honored after June 26, 2010.
All breakfast and lunch meals will be served in Wagoner Hall. The
Tuesday dinner and the Wednesday evening banquet will be served in the Burney Center.
