All full-time residents will
be housed in the university suites or in Schwartz residence hall (see
map). While these buildings feature common living areas and a kitchen and
are quite comfortable and conducive to social and professional
discussions, they are still university housing and not commercial hotels!
Resident housing rooms are not equipped with TV’s or telephones. Make your
plans accordingly. Each resident will have a private bedroom.
Participant couples will be housed in Schwartz residence hall. For your
comfort and convenience, beds are made before you arrive. Common living
areas and baths will be cleaned on Wednesday by UNCW housing staff, but
your individual room will not be cleaned. Bring your own coat hangers
and various personal articles (clock/radio, TV,etc.). Each resident
will be furnished a towel packet, which includes two (2) washcloths, two
(2) hand towels and two (2) bath towels. When checking out, the entire
towel packet must be left on your bed. Any missing linens must be
accounted for before your school credit will be issued. Housing costs for
staying on the UNCW campus are included in the full-time resident fee.

Special group rates have also been negotiated
with the Innkeeper. The Innkeeper is convenient to the campus (at the
intersection of Market Street & College Road) and offers amenities such as
complimentary breakfast from 6-10 a.m.(items include sausage biscuits,
waffles, French toast, fresh fruit, cereals, milk, muffins, Danish
pastries, bagels, juice, tea & coffee), coffee 24 hours a day, 24 hour
front desk, message, fax & copy service; rooms for the physically
challenged – TDD/TTY for hearing impaired, children under 18 free when
sharing a room with parent, electronic locks – card key security system,
dataports in all rooms, offsite exercise facilities offered at World’s
Gym, outdoor pool, free USA Today newspaper, and TV.
Room rates are $63.75 per night but you must mention
that you are registering for the N.C.
Alcohol & Drug School to get this rate.
If you have a roommate in mind, you must make all necessary arrangements
with him/her before calling in your reservation. All reservations and
payments are handled directly by the Innkeeper staff at (910) 799-4292
between 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please identify yourself as
a student at the N.C. School for Alcohol and Drug Studies to secure the
negotiated rates. Room reservations must be made on or before July 11,
2008. You must provide your own transportation to the UNCW campus for
classes and other events.
PLEASE
NOTE: If you are staying off campus, all room payments must
be made directly to the hotel and should not be included in the
registration payment to the NCFADS for attendance at the 2008 School.
Including payment to the NCFADS may delay your School registration. The
NCFADS cannot guarantee that you will be enrolled in the track or
mini-track of your choice if your registration is delayed. All
off-campus residents should choose one of the commuter options when
registering for the school.

All breakfast and lunch meals as
well as the Wednesday evening banquet will be served in Wagoner Hall. The
Tuesday special dinner will be served in the Burney Center.
