Biography

Assistant Director at the Criminal Justice Resource Center in Durham, North Carolina. The Criminal Justice Resource Center is a department of Durham County Government dedicated to providing services and support to justice involved citizens. Roshanna is responsible for overseeing the agency’s Outpatient Substance Abuse Services, Cognitive Behavioral programming, Employment Readiness Program, Transitional Housing, Adult Drug Treatment Court and the Durham Local Reentry Council. Her background includes extensive work at the State level with Reentry and Transition for offenders in North Carolina. She has worked with the North Carolina Department of Public Safety and the Governor’s Crime Commission. Her work experience includes positions as a Correctional Officer, Probation Officer, Correctional Case Analyst, Juvenile Justice Planner and a Research and Evaluation Analyst.  Roshanna is a certified General Instructor. She has a wealth of experience with policy analysis and program development for juvenile and adult offenders. He major focus for the last 16 years has been reentry.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of South Carolina and her Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from North Carolina Central University.

Roshanna currently serves as an adjunct professor in Criminal Justice at North Carolina Central University and Strayer University.  She has over twenty- four years of experience working in the field of Criminal justice and has fifteen years of teaching experience.
